Anderson scores 24, Brown beats LIU Brooklyn 94-86

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Brandon Anderson scored 24 points and Brown defeated LIU Brooklyn 94-86 on Saturday.

Anderson was only 4-of-13 shooting but led a Brown parade to the free-throw line, as he made 14 of 16 and the team 31 of 41. LIU was 20 of 28 at the line with the teams combining for 59 fouls, and 43 turnovers.

Travis Fuller added 14 points and 11 rebounds and Obi Okolie scored 11 points for the Bears (3-2), who shot 56 percent even with a 3-of-16 showing from 3-point range.

Raiquan Clark led the Blackbirds (2-5) in scoring for the fifth time this season, finishing with 26 points. Julian Batts scored 20 points and had five of LIU's 13 steals. Joe Hernandez added 14 points and Eral Penn 10.

Brown took the lead for good, 76-74, on two Okolie free throws that started a 10-2 run for an 84-76 lead with 2:28 remaining. LIU got within four but six straight Bears points made it a 10-point edge with under a minute left.
