Griffin leads St. Bonaventure to 77-61 win over Fordham

SAINT BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- LaDarien Griffin scored a career-best 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and St. Bonaventure rolled to 77-61 win over Fordham on Wednesday night, snapping a two-game skid.

Griffin was 9 of 14 from the floor for the Bonnies (12-4, 2-2 Atlantic 10). Courtney Stockard added 13 points and seven rebounds and Jaylen Adams had 10 points and five rebounds.

The team shot 51 percent compared to 36 percent for Fordham and had a 41-26 rebounding edge.

St. Bonaventure was ahead by three at intermission and pulled away in the second half. Matt Mobley drained a 3-pointer early in the period, sparking a 15-5 run that also included two dunks by Griffin and another by Idris Taqqee and the Bonnies led 53-39 with 12:00 to play. Another dunk by Griffin and a 3-pointer by Mobley pushed it to 75-53 with just under a minute left.

David Pekarek led the Rams (6-10, 1-3) with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
