Georgetown beats Seton Hall after giving away 17-point lead

WASHINGTON -- Marcus Derrickson scored 22 points, grabbed a career-best 18 rebounds and hit the game-winning 3-pointer on Saturday as Georgetown beat Seton Hall 83-80.

Derrickson got an open look on a deep 3 near the end of the shot clock and buried it with 4.2 seconds left. He was also fouled on the close out by Khadeen Carrington but missed the foul shot. Myles Powell, who finished with 25 points for the Pirates, missed a 3-point attempt as time ran out.

Jamorko Pickett added 18 points and Jessie Govan scored 11 for the Hoyas (14-10, 4-9 Big East), who had a 17-point lead from early in the second half erased by the six-minute mark.

Angel Delgado's layup with 5:36 to play capped a 10-0 run and gave Seton Hall (17-8, 6-6) its first lead of the game at 69-67.

Desi Rodriguez added 24 points and Delgado scored 12 for the Pirates.
