Rangers moving Triple-A affiliate to Nashville

The Texas Rangers and Nashville Sounds announced a four-year contract for the Sounds to become Texas' Triple-A affiliate. The Round Rock Express in suburban Austin, Texas, had been the team's top affiliate the past eight years.

San Antonio has long been a Double-A team but is moving up a level. The surprise is that industry chatter had San Antonio matching up with the Texas Rangers.
