Florida A&M holds of Delaware State 66-63

DOVER, Del. -- Justin Ravenel scored 20 points with four 3-pointers, including a go-ahead 3 with 40 seconds left, and Florida A&M held off Delaware State 66-63 on Saturday, handing the Hornets their 21st straight loss.

Desmond Williams scored 19 points with two blocks, Marcus Barham had 11 points, and Elijah Mayes scored 10 with five assists for the Rattlers (6-23, 5-8 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who led 37-30 at halftime after hitting seven 3s and shooting 60 percent from the field.

Brendon Myles' jumper put the Hornets up 42-41 and they led 57-55 on Simon Okolue's free throw with 3:54 to play, but Ravenel's go-ahead 3 gave the Rattlers a 62-61 edge. Okolue missed a layup with five seconds left and Williams hit two from the line for a 64-61 FAMU lead. Artem Tavakalyan's two free throws made it a one-point game, but Pinky Wiley missed a layup with two seconds left and Williams' two free throws iced it.

Marquis Collins scored 18 points with five 3s and Jonathan Walker added 11 points for the Hornets (2-25, 0-12).
