Florida Atlantic snaps 6-game losing skid, beats UTEP 73-66

EL PASO, Texas -- Justin Massey scored 18 points, Ronald Delph added 12 points and 17 rebounds and Florida Atlantic beat UTEP 73-66 on Thursday night, snapping a six-game losing skid for its first Conference USA win.

Evan Gilyard made a 3-pointer and split a pair of free throws to pull UTEP (6-11, 1-4) to 63-60. A 6-1 spurt, capped by Delph's dunk, gave FAU (7-9, 1-3) a 67-60 lead with 1:35 remaining. Delph blocked Keith Frazier's layup on the next UTEP possession, but Massey then missed a layup. Back-to-back 3s from Omega Harris cut the Miners' deficit back to three points, 69-66 with 24 seconds to play. Massey and Anthony Adger each made two from the line to end it.

Massey was 5 of 14 from the floor and Delph blocked four shots.

Gilyard had 20 points to lead UTEP. Harris added 11 points and five steals.
