Lehigh knocks Colgate into 2nd place Patriot tie, wins 88-78

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Kyle Leufroy and Marques Wilson each converted four free throws in the final minute as Lehigh upset Colgate, 88-78 in a Patriot League showdown Wednesday night.

The victory is the fifth straight for the Mountain Hawks and it served to tighten the top of the standings, knocking Colgate out of sole possession of second place behind Bucknell, which clinched the league championship and the No. 1 seed into the post-season tournament.

The Raiders (14-12, 9-6) are now tied with Navy for the No. 2 tournament seed. Lehigh (13-13, 8-7) now is tied with Boston University for fourth place.

Wilson was near perfect shooting, hitting 9 of 10 from the field, including all three 3-point attempts, and was 7-for-7 shooting from the line to finish with 28 points. Leufroy was 6 of 11 from the field, 2 of 4 from distance and 4 for 4 from the line to add 18 points. Kahron Ross added 18 points and Pat Andree contributed 13 points and grabbed 10 boards.

Will Rayman scored 18 points for the Raiders. Jordan Swopshire hit 5 of 11 from deep to add 15 points and Sean O'Brien added 14.
