Floyd leads Holy Cross past Boston U 73-62

BOSTON -- Jehyve Floyd scored 18 points with five rebounds, four blocks and three assists and Holy Cross defeated Boston University 73-62 on Saturday.

Jacob Grandison added 16 points and Patrick Benzan 15 for the Crusaders (9-16, 6-8 Patriot League), who dropped the first meeting 54-50 and were coming off a 35-point loss at home to Navy when they scored just 34 points.

Floyd opened and closed a 10-0 run as the Crusaders broke away from a 39-39 tie. Tyler Scanlon scored five quick points for the Terriers but Holy Cross answered with six to make it 55-44 with 6:41 to play. The lead stayed around 10 the rest of the way as the Crusaders made 6 of 7 shots from the field and the foul line to offset five turnovers.

Scanlon had 19 points and eight rebounds for the Terriers (12-13, 8-6), who shot 35 percent to 48 for Holy Cross.
