Montana thumps Sacramento State, 78-66, now 5-0 in Big Sky

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Ahmaad Rorie scored 23 points and Michael Oguine added 16 as Montana rolled over Sacramento State 78-66 on Thursday night to remain undefeated in the Big Sky Conference.

Montana (12-5, 5-0) has won five straight and seven of the last eight games.

Rorie dished out six assists with three steals and Oguine had four steals. Bobby Moorehead added 13 points and Jamar Akoh chipped in nine points with eight rebounds and three steals. The Grizzlies swiped the basketball 14 times.

Montana, trailing 35-32 at the break, opened the second half on a 15-5 run and never trailed again. Rorie had two straight layups and then drilled a trey for a 50-42 lead at the 13:29 mark. Montana made 11 straight free throws midway in the second half to go up 64-48. The Grizzles kept a double-digit lead for the rest of the way.

Justin Strings had 20 points with nine rebounds for Sacramento State (4-13, 1-3).
