Rider coasts to 78-60 win over Quinnipiac

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Frederick Scott got 12 of his 15 points in the first half and Rider cruised to its fourth straight victory with a 78-60 win over Quinnipiac on Friday night.

Stevie Jordan added 13 points, Tyere Marshall had 12 points to go with nine rebounds and Dimencio Vaughn scored 10 points with nine rebounds for Rider, which remains in a three-way tie for first atop the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference standings.

Quinnipiac got the game's first bucket but Rider (11-6, 4-1) responded with the first of Allen's two 3-pointers to go on top for good. The Broncs later took control with a 12-2 run to close out the opening half and take a 39-20 advantage into the break.

Cameron Young led Quinnipiac (6-12, 3-3) with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Rigoni added 14 points and Isaiah Washington had 13 for the Bobcats.
