Butler's late 3-pointer lifts UT Martin over EKU 70-69

RICHMOND, Ky. -- Matthew Butler made a 3-pointer with four seconds left to give Tennessee-Martin a 70-69 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Thursday night.

Dujuanta Weaver and Nick Mayo hit consecutive 3s, and DeAndre Dishman added a dunk with 10 seconds left during an 8-1 surge that gave the Colonels a 69-67 lead before Butler scored the game-winner.

DelFincko Bogan had 19 points to lead UT Martin (9-17, 4-9 Ohio Valley Conference), which snapped a three-game skid. Mike Fofana added 15 points and Butler finished with 11.

Nick Mayo made seven 3-pointers and scored a career-best 36 points on 13-of-21 shooting to lead Eastern Kentucky (8-18, 2-11), which has lost seven straight. Weaver hit 4 of 7 from deep and added 12 points.

EKU made 14 of 33 from long range compared to the Skyhawks' 6-of-12 shooting, but UT Martin shot 55 percent (29 of 33) from the field and outrebounded the Colonels 34-28.
