Fairleigh Dickinson upsets NEC leader Wagner 76-69

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Mike Holloway Jr. scored 23 points and Darnell Edge added 22, including all eight of his free throws down the stretch, and Fairleigh Dickinson upset Northeast Conference leader Wagner 76-69 on Sunday.

Leading by four with 4:48 to go, Edge extended his consecutive free-throw streak to 43 and gave the Knights a response to a pair of Romone Saunders 3-pointers in the final two minutes.

Wagner couldn't quite recover from a miserable first half when it shot just 19 percent and fell behind 33-18 with Holloway scoring 15 points. The Seahawks trailed by 20 with 15:55 left in the game.

Jahil Jenkins scored 15 points and Noah Morgan 11 for the Knights (10-15, 7-7), who shot 51 percent in winning their third straight.

Saunders scored 25 points, Blake Francis 16 and Elijah Davis 11 with the trio combining for 38 second-half points. Wagner had a seven-game win streak snapped.
