Mobley, Adams lead St. Bonaventure over Richmond 97-88

SAINT BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- Matt Mobley and Jalen Adams scored 24 points apiece and St. Bonaventure beat Richmond 97-88 on Saturday to extend its win streak to six games and move into a second place tie with Davidson in the Atlantic 10 standings.

Amandi Ikpeze and Courtney Stockard added 12 points apiece and Stockard led with 11 rebounds for the Bonnies (18-6, 8-4). Idris Taqqee had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Mobley sank four 3-pointers in the first half and the Bonnies led 51-42 at halftime.

Adams made a 3-point play midway in the second half for a 64-61 edge and followed with a layup and a 3-pointer and a dish to Mobley who added another 3 to make it 72-61 with 9:11 to go. Richmond cut it to 82-77 with 2:44 left and Mobley answered with a layup and Ikpeze made a dunk to stretch it to 86-77 with 1:37 remaining.

Nick Sherod scored 26 points with nine rebounds for the Spiders (9-15, 7-5). Grant Golden added 24 points and six rebounds.
