Davis scores 22, leads Dayton past George Washington, 88-78

DAYTON, Ohio -- Darrell Davis posted 20 points or better for the seventh time this season and led five players into double-figure scoring as Dayton knocked off George Washington, 88-78 Saturday afternoon in the Atlantic 10 Conference regular season finale for both schools.

Both schools entered the final day of the regular season tied with Duquesne for the No. 9 seed in the A-10 tournament. The Dukes play a night game at UMass.

Dayton now has eight straight wins over the Colonials at home. After being honored on Senior Day, Davis went out and put up 22 points to lead the Flyers (14-16, 8-10). Josh Cunningham scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Trey Landers added 17 points, dished four assists and made three steals. Kostas Antetokounmpo scored 14 points and Jordan Davis added 11.

Yuta Watanabe scored 21 points, Arnaldo Toro had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Jair Bolden added 13 points for George Washington (14-17, 7-11).
