Landale leads Saint Mary's to 91-67 win over Pepperdine

MALIBU, Calif. -- Jock Landale scored 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Saint Mary's notched its 12th-straight win, rolling to a 91-67 victory over Pepperdine on Saturday night.

It was Landale's 10th double-double this season for the Gaels (17-2, 6-0 West Coast Conference). He shot 13 of 15 from the field and 6 of 8 from the line. Jordan Ford added 20 points, Tanner Krebs had 16 points and seven rebounds and Emmett Naar dished 14 assists in addition to his five points.

The Gaels shot 67 percent compared to 43.5 percent for Pepperdine and had a 38-19 rebounding edge.

Krebs sank a 3-pointer late in the first half to give the Gaels a 25-24 advantage with 6:23 in the half and they led all the way after that, building to a 47-32 edge at intermission.

Saint Mary's plays Gonzaga (15-3, 5-0) on Thursday night to decide who will lead in the WCC.

Eric Cooper Jr. had 19 points to lead the Waves (3-15, 0-6) who have lost eight straight.
