Tommy Rowe at the double as Doncaster ease past Scunthorpe

Tommy Rowe bagged his second FA Cup brace in a row to fire Doncaster into the third round as they beat Scunthorpe 3-0 in the M180 derby.Rowe struck either side of the break, with substitute Liam Mandeville adding a late third as Darren Ferguson's side swept through with ease.Striker John Marquis almost took advantage of an early error by Scunthorpe goalkeeper Matt Gilks, who dropped James Coppinger's corner, but the Rovers striker poked his effort wide.Another mistake from Gilks resulted in Rovers taking a 16th-minute lead. A long ball reached the visiting stopper, but with Rowe bearing down on him, he hit his clearance straight at the home midfielder, who then collected the ball and and dinked it over Gilks into the empty net.Scunthorpe's Duane Holmes had a shot hacked off the line by Niall Mason and then Hakeeb Adelakun fired wide when well placed.Just before the hour mark, Josh Morris brought a save out of Doncaster keeper Ian Lawlor, before Rowe grabbed his second after 67 minutes, brilliantly wriggling through three Scunthorpe defenders before firing low into the bottom corner.Lawlor saved well from Iron sub Charlie Goode, before Mandeville crashed home the final nail in Scunthorpe's coffin.
