Juventus need penalty kicks to beat Roma in ICC clash

Juventus needed penalty kicks to beat Roma in Sunday's International Champions Cup match in Foxborough, Massachusetts after ending regular time in a 1-1 draw.

Marco Tumminello missed Roma's opening penalty, and Juve capitalised, converting all five of their kicks to edge the Romans 5-4.

Mario Mandzukic had opened the scoring for the defending Serie A champions, when he rounded the keeper and slotted home from a tricky angle in the 29th minute.

Edin Dzeko equalised 16 minutes before the final whistle with the simplest of finishes after Aleksandar Kolarov's low cross found him alone directly in front of goal.

The game went to penalties after 90 minutes, where Stephan Lichtsteiner, Andrea Barzagli, Federico Bernardeschi, Sami Khedira and Douglas Costa all converted to give the Bianconeri the victory.
