Mosley leads Liberty past Duquesne 27-24

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Carrington Mosley scored the go-ahead points on a 1-yard run late in the fourth quarter and Liberty scored the final 20 points on Saturday to beat Duquesne 27-24.

Mosley finished with 151 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries for the Flames (5-4), whose go-ahead drive came after the Dukes (7-2) fumbled their possession away at their own 23.

Mosley's first TD run opened the scoring with 7:48 left in the first quarter. Duquesne's A.J. Hines scored on the next play from scrimmage with a 79-yard run and the Dukes scored 24 straight to lead 24-7 on Hines' 49-yard run late in the second quarter.

Alex Probert kicked a 42-yard field goal for the Flames before halftime, Stephen Calvert completed a 16-yard TD pass to B.J. Farrow in the middle of the third, and Probert added a 43-yarder early in the fourth to cut the deficit to 24-20.

Hines had a career-best 253 yards rushing and two TD runs for Duquesne.
