SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Caleb Evans threw for a career-high 433 yards and three touchdowns as Louisiana Monroe took control in the second half to roll over Texas State 45-27 on Saturday.

Evans hit RJ Turner on a 34-yard scoring strike to take a 26-20 lead with 9:25 left before the half. Evans opened the third quarter with a 10-yard TD run and hooked up with Marcus Green for a 67-yard touchdown toss for a 42-27 advantage early in the fourth.

Green grabbed four passes for 100 yards and RJ Turner hauled in five for 99 yards and one score for the Warhawks (3-2, 3-0 Sun Belt).

Texas State led 20-19 after Hutch White hit A.J. Taylor on a 47-yard touchdown pass. Damian Williams ran for two touchdowns and passed for another for Texas State (1-5, 0-2).
