Inter Milan moved up to third place in Serie A with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Cagliari at San Siro.

Joao Cancelo gave Inter the lead after just three minutes when his free-kick from wide on the left missed everyone and drifted into the far post.

Ivan Perisic tested Alessio Cragno at his near post and Yann Karamoh wasted another fine opportunity as the hosts sought a second.

Karamoh also hit the bar midway through the first half for Inter - whose players had their personal social media handles emblazoned upon the back of their shirts.

Mauro Icardi rifled home a second for Inter just after the break from close range following some hesitancy in the Cagliari defence.

Marcelo Brozovic then curled home a brilliant 15-yard strike for the Nerazzurri on the hour mark after finding space in the box.

Perisic added further gloss to the scoreline in the final minute with a left-footed effort which flew into the bottom corner.

Cagliari remain five points clear of the relegation zone while Inter moved above Lazio and Roma in the race for Champions League qualification.
