UFC's Darren Till can understand why people compare Conor McGregor to him but insists he's an improvement on the Irishman. Till (16-0-1), who spent more than three years in Brazil honing his MMA skills, last appeared in an Octagon back in October, when he beat Donald Cerrone via first-round TKO. Till and McGregor have had similar rapid rises to stardom, are European and fight southpaw. While he has yet to fight for a belt and is currently No.7 in the welterweight rankings, Till firmly believes he's a better fighter than two-weight UFC champion McGregor. "He looked more into marketing [than I am]; I don't think I market myself," Till exclusively told ESPN. "I'm just real. I just say what I think. I just write or post what I think. "I don't really care what anyone thinks or says about me. They don't know me." Till said he thinks he and McGregor have a similar fighting style. "I just think he lacks a bit of kicking, little bit of cardio," he said. "But you could put us in the same bracket in the fighting style. But I am better. I know I'm better. "It's not a disrespect to him or any other fighter out there in the world, to the best in the world -- could be [Daniel] Cormier, the Jon Joneses, I just believe I am the best fighter." McGregor hasn't fought since his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr. back in August 2017, a fight he lost via knockout. Till has yet to schedule another bout himself but recently revealed to ESPN he's ready to fight again after overcoming a recent sickness bug.
