Ultimate Fighting Championship set to make London return in March '18

MMA, UFC

UFC is set to return to London on March 17 at the O2 Arena after a year-long absence from the city.

The fighting championship, which first made it's London debut in July 2002, was last held in the UK capital on March 18, 2017 when light-heavyweight Jimi Manuwa defeated Corey Anderson by knockout at UFC Fight Night 107.

A year earlier in February 2016 English fighter Michael Bisping defeated Anderson Silva by decision at UFC Fight Night 84. He later became UFC Middleweight champion in his next fight at UFC 199 by beating Luke Rockhold.

This will be the 10th event to be held in London, with the most recent event involving Manuwa and Anderson selling out in under 30 minutes.

No fights have been announced yet but it is unlikely Bisping will appear on the card due to his upcoming fight with Georges St-Pierre on Nov. 4.
