Family always comes first. Even after reaching the ultimate goal of becoming an NBA player.
Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell is well aware of that. So, only one month into his professional career, the Greenwich, Connecticut, native showed his appreciation for the woman who raised him by surprising her with a brand-new Audi truck.
No better feeling than this man! I love you Mom thank you for your sacrifice now its time for me to take care of you❤️ thanks to @AudiGreenwich @Audi for making this possible 🙏🏾 Be Humble pic.twitter.com/JegiOZ5CDP

Based off the location tagged in the post, it appears Mitchell was in the parking lot of The Greenwich Country Day School, which he once attended, when gifting her the car.
It was a moment he has been waiting for much of his life. He made that well-known in the Instagram caption:
"Words can't describe how happy I am to be able to give you this car! I remember listening to a song walking around Louisville after being in the gym at 2 am and I texted you and said said I'm gonna make sure you never have to work again! This is just the beginning! I love you so much thank you for everything you have done for me ❤️ @nicole3mitch .... thank you @audigreenwich for the help!! @audi."
The former Louisville guard, who was drafted 13th overall by the Denver Nuggets, has made the Jazz organization proud of trading for him on draft day. He's averaging 14.9 points per game, which is currently fourth among rookies.
Though Utah hasn't gotten off to the best of starts, Mitchell has been a welcome addition, helping fill the void left by Gordon Hayward.
