After a six-year head-coaching stint in Starksville, Dan Mullen returns to Gainesville to be the next head coach at Florida. Mullen served as the Gators' offensive coordinator/quarterback coach from 2005-08 before taking the Mississippi State job.
Gator country couldn't be happier to welcome Mullen back, with even a few Gainesville legends chiming in on the hiring:

Mullen's former Bulldogs QBs also wished him luck at Florida:
Thank you coach Mullen for building this program into what it is today. But a program is bigger than 1 person! We pride ourselves on our ability to always give relentless effort and I am very excited to be able to lead this team to a new level next season! #HaiIState

Circle Sept. 29, 2018, on the calendar. That's when Mullen will lead his Gators into Davis Wade Stadium.
