Valencia confirm the permanent signing of Goncalo Guedes from PSG

Valencia and Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Goncalo Guedes has joined the Spanish outfit permanently.

Valencia announced on Thursday the arrival of the Portugal international on a contract until 2024 with a minimum fee release clause of €300 million, while the French champions wished their former player "every future success" after showing "commitment and professionalism."

Guedes, 21, is due to train with his teammates for the first time since completing his return on Friday, before being unveiled at Mestalla in the evening.

The former Benfica man scored five goals and assisted nine more in 27 La Liga appearances while on loan with Los Che last season before returning to PSG in the summer.

Guedes, who only moved to Parc des Princes for around €25m in January of 2017, played 244 minutes without scoring a goal for Portugal at this summer's World Cup in Russia as the European champions went out to an Edinson Cavani-inspired Uruguay in the round of 16.

During his time alongside Cavani with PSG, the Portuguese made just eight Ligue 1 appearances with a solitary assist.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Valencia will pay €40m plus up to €10m more to take the total amount to around double what PSG paid for him less than two years ago.
