Orlando City has acquired Senegal international center-back Lamine Sane from Werder Bremen. Sane, 30, spent the past year and a half with the German club, where he made 40 appearances, scoring two goals. Before joining Werder Bremen, the France-born Sane had a seven-year spell at Bordeaux. He has been capped 25 times for his country since his debut in 2010. "Lamine will significantly strengthen our back line," general manager Niki Budalic said. "He brings tremendous experience at the highest levels of European football and we believe he will fit right in with what we're trying to build in Orlando." The move comes as Orlando rebuilds after the departure of club talisman Kaka, who was the highest-paid player in MLS, and Cyle Larin, who moved to Turkish side Besiktas last month. The Lions have already acquired U.S. international Sacha Kljestan from New York Red Bulls, top NASL striker Stefano Pinho from Miami FC, defenders Mohamed El-Munir from Partizan Belgrade and RJ Allen from New York City FC, as well as midfielder Jose Villarreal from the LA Galaxy. Orlando has also acquired center-back Amro Tarek on loan from Wadi Degla FC in Egypt's Premier League.
