Serge Gnabry told to find more consistency by Hoffenheim coach

Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann has warned Serge Gnabry that he must improve his attitude to make the most of his career.

Gnabry, 22, joined Hoffenheim on loan from Bayern last summer and is due to return to the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

Gnabry has played in 18 competitive matches for Hoffenheim, scoring three goals and setting up a further five, but although he has shown flashes of his ability, Nagelsmann has now urged him to make more of his talent.

"Given his quality and his career goals, he must show more over 90 minutes," Nagelsmann said after the 1-1 home draw with Freiburg. "He had four moments which were all really good. But the thing is, he only had four moments, and he disappeared too often during the second half."

The former Arsenal man had three shots: one was parried by keeper Alexander Scholow, another went over the bar and the third was blocked.

Nagelsmann added: "If he were a player who'd have one good moment from four, things would be different. His moments are always dangerous, but there should be more, and he takes too many breaks during the 90 minutes."

Gnabry is yet to play a game for Bayern, having been directly loaned out Hoffenheim after the German champions signed the player from Werder Bremen.
