Copa Libertadores final: Kickoff times for Boca Juniors-River Plate clash revealed

CONMEBOL has announced that both legs of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and arch-rivals River Plate will kick off at 16:00 local time.

Earlier this week, Boca secured a first-ever Copa Libertadores final against River Plate when a 2-2 draw with Palmeiras saw them through 4-2 on aggregate.

River Plate, meanwhile, defeated Gremio to reach for their first final for three years.

Announcing the kick-off times on its Twitter account, CONMEBOL said both the first leg, at Boca's La Bombonera on Saturday Nov. 10, and the second leg, on Saturday Nov. 24, would begin at 16:00.

The games will be played on Saturdays because of a political summit in Buenos Aires. Initially, the matches were scheduled for Nov. 7 and 28, but Buenos Aires will host the G20 summit in the last week of the month.

The venue for the second leg was not confirmed in the tweet after South America's football governing body said earlier this week that it would investigate River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo for allegedly speaking to his players at the break of a match for which he was suspended.

CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez confirmed on Wednesday that the body's disciplinary tribunal will look into a complaint filed by Gremio, beaten 2-1 at home in the second leg of the semifinal.

Gremio requested CONMEBOL to annul River's victory and advance them to the final, with River to issue a defence before a federation disciplinary tribunal.
