Paris Saint-Germain moved 13 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 with a 4-0 thrashing of Monaco at Stade Louis II on Sunday.
Edinson Cavani helped himself to a video-assisted hat trick, while Neymar added one from the penalty spot as the French champions preyed on a Monegasque side in disarray despite Thomas Tuchel rotating his starting XI.
Positives
Although Monaco rediscovering a bit of form was always going to be a long shot, it had the potential to be a match that saw PSG take their eye off the ball.
Les Parisiens were not at their most intense, which was largely down to the fact that their hosts rolled over for them inside of the opening five minutes, but they were still concentrated enough to record a handsome victory.
Cavani rediscovering his scoring touch, albeit helping significantly by video assisted refereeing (VAR), was another big plus and youth academy graduate Moussa Diaby continues to impress.
Negatives
Although Tuchel will perhaps have been disappointed by the lack of intensity at times, that cannot be blamed solely on the PSG players.
Monaco, as has been the case for most of this catastrophic season so far, surrendered as quickly as they could and killed any sense of a contest.
That is perhaps the biggest negative -- that Monaco were expected to be title challengers and are currently battling against relegation.

6 -- Tuchel set his team up in his preferred 3-4-3 formation and made alterations in certain areas. He kept the front three strong, and his reward was a fast start and a comfortable win overall.

GK Alphonse Areola, 6 -- Not the busiest PSG player in the principality, he was solid when called upon but that was not often against a Monaco side that could only muster two shots on target.
DF Thilo Kehrer, 7 -- He continues to grow into this Parisien backline and was arguably more impressive than Thiago Silva or Presnel Kimpembe with a fair amount of traffic coming down the right.
DF Thiago Silva (c), 6 -- An improvement on his midweek showing against Napoli, he was still only required to do a limited amount of work because of Monaco's impotence up top.
DF Presnel Kimpembe, 6 -- After returning to action as a substitute in Naples because of his domestic suspension, this was a good way for him to be eased back into a starting role as it was not too taxing.
MF Christopher Nkunku, 7 -- Replaced Thomas Meunier on the right and did a good job going forward, regularly linking up with the attack, getting involved by creating chances and going close to scoring himself.
MF Julian Draxler, 7 -- Another solid showing and a further indication to Adrien Rabiot, his central midfield partner on the day, that he will not relinquish his starting role without a fight. He also had one of two PSG goals chalked off by VAR.
MF Adrien Rabiot, 5 -- Quiet overall and drifted in and out of the game, although he did play a role in Cavani's third goal. Outshone in the middle by Draxler.
MF Moussa Diaby, 8 -- Another excellent performance on the left that begs the question as to whether Juan Bernat really deserves to start so often. Diaby assisted Cavani's second and third goals before making way for Angel Di Maria towards the end.
FW Kylian Mbappe, 6 -- He had a goal disallowed via VAR, suffered a malicious Jemerson foul and won a penalty but it was another relatively quiet Stade Louis II return for the ex-Monaco man.
FW Edinson Cavani, 8 -- After suffering through a drought recently, he returned to scoring form with a bang by netting his first hat trick of the season. Two of those goals featured VAR.
FW Neymar, 7 -- An assist and a goal from a second-half penalty as part of another balanced showing that keeps his form ticking along nicely ahead of a key post-international break clash with Liverpool in the Champions League.
Substitutes
DF Stanley N'Soki, 6 -- Given just over half an hour in place of Draxler, he was solid but unspectacular with the damage already done before he was introduced.
MF Angel Di Maria, N/R -- Sent on for Diaby towards the end as the match ground to an overdue halt.
FW Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, N/R -- Given just under a quarter of an hour in place of Nkunku, his physical presence was not really required with such little emphasis on attacking.
