Wayne Rooney's England career: See how he changed through the years

Wayne Rooney is all set to win his 120th and final (you'd assume) international cap when he turns out for England one last time at Wembley.

Having called time on his Three Lions tenure two years ago, Rooney returns for one night only with a brief cameo appearance against the United States designed by the English Football Association to wish the striker a fond farewell.

What better way to mark the occasion then chart the evolution of England's record goal scorer, all the way from teenage tyro to grizzled veteran.

That's 119 caps, 53 goals, 15 years and a whole load of grunt, sweat and more grunt all in one gif.

For some extra fun at home, see if you can accurately pinpoint the moment the former Manchester United and England captain went in for his hair transplant as the once-receding tide suddenly comes rushing in again. Kudos to the surgeon.
