Two rivals clubs announce same player as new signing on same day

Two rivals clubs from Belfast, Northern Ireland are at loggerheads once again after both claiming to have signed the same player.

Indeed, it would appear that Josh Robinson has gone from being a free agent to being employed by not one, but two teams at the same time!

First came the announcement from Linfield, with manager David Healy personally welcoming Robinson on board after agreeing a four-year deal with the Blues.

However, roughly one hour later, Crusaders also emitted a statement to announce that they'd signed Robinson, claiming that the defender had agreed a three-year contract with them.

According to BBC Sport, both clubs are claiming to have filed the necessary paperwork to sign Robinson, with the Irish FA requesting the matter be clarified post haste.

It's also reported that Crusaders are in pole position to clinch his services, with Robinson having trained with their squad on Tuesday night.

Who knows, maybe the two teams can agree on a rota to play him in alternating matches?
