Zambia held to draw by Congo in African Nations Cup qualifying

Zambia were held to a 1-1 draw by Congo in a key African Nations Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

Winston Kalengo's opener for hosts Zambia on the hour mark was cancelled out by Jordan Massengo's strike 15 minutes later.

Congo lead Group E with five points through three games, ahead on goal difference of Zambia, who won the tournament in 2012.

Also in Group E, Guinea-Bissau kept pace with a 1-0 win at home over Kenya, thanks to Idrissa Camara's 15th-minute goal.

Stephane Sessegnon scored as Benin went top of Group C with a 2-1 win at South Sudan.

Sao Tome and Príncipe secured a 2-1 win over Libya, who dropped their third straight match in Group F.

Faisal Albadri had given Libya the lead, but two goals in the final five minutes gave the hosts victory.

Tanzania won their first game of the campaign, defeating Chad 1-0 with Mbwana Samata's goal.
