Australia's Olympic champion Women's Rugby Sevens Team will receive another trophy to put in their cabinet when they take out the World Rugby Womens Sevens Series in Paris on Sunday.

Australia reached the Final with a 21-17 win over host nation France, meaning they can't be caught in the race for the overall Series Championship, no matter the result of Sunday's final against New Zealand.

The Kiwis - who have beaten Australia this year in the Final of the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast - made the final after a 34-7 drubbing of Canada.

In the quarter-finals earlier in the day, New Zealand overcame Spain 38-0, while Australia had to come from behind to scrape past a battling Fiji 22-19.

Canada reached the semi-finals courtesy of a 26-24 win over the United States while France enjoyed an outstanding 48-7 thrashing of England.
