Fantasy Rugby 2018: The winners from our fantastic Six Nations game

Rugby, Six Nations

It was a bumper year for ESPN Fantasy Rugby as more teams signed up than ever before, and players were able to test their skills against Danny Cipriani in the pursuit of top prizes.

As the dust settles on the Six Nations for another year, and the party in Dublin starts to wind down, we round up exactly who joined Joe Schmidt's Ireland in the winner's enclosure.

Overall

Aaron Tolley

Team name: AT92

Early consistency and some shrewd selections were key to our overall winner's success. Stand-out performances in week one from Guilhem Guirado, Sam Simmonds, Owen Farrell and Anthony Watson powered AT92 to 126 points.

Despite falling 14 points short of the early pace, Aaron refused to panic and some good transfer business ensured that he went into the final round with a healthy 432 points. In the end he could afford a fairly uninspiring 73 points on Super Saturday and still cruise to the MacBook by 16 points. Jonny Gray, Josh Navidi, Conor Murray, Johnny Sexton, Farrell, Jacob Stockdale and Watson all remained from week one.

Weekly winners

AT92 finished top of the overall leaderboard without registering the highest score of any round. Here are the teams that beat Aaron, and have been left to reflect on what might have been while they wait for their Apple Watch.

Challenge Cipriani

It should come as no surprise that having entered both leagues, AT92 come out on top of Challenge Cipriani. His overall win means that Aaron will not be getting a signed ball, however, as Darren Pellow and Greg Paige take those having finished second and third respectively.

As for the man himself, Danny came home in 9,359th place as his team, Celebrations, compiled 325 points over the five rounds.

This year's winners have been emailed with details of how their prizes can be claimed.
