Kieran Brookes will leave Northampton Saints at the end of the season, the Aviva Premiership outfit have confirmed.

Brookes, 27, moved to Saints from Newcastle in 2015 and has gone on to make 66 appearances in his three years at Franklin's Gardens.

The front-rower, who has earned 16 caps for England and featured in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, is yet to announce where his next challenge will be but reiterated that he would remain fully committed to Northampton until his departure.

"This is a decision I have not taken lightly and I've thoroughly enjoyed my three years here at Saints," Brookes said in a statement on the club's website.

"I wish all the players and staff at Franklin's Gardens all the best for the future, and of course I will be giving the team absolutely everything I can on the pitch for the rest of the season to help Northampton move up the Aviva Premiership table."

Northampton's Interim head coach Alan Dickens added: "We would like to thank Kieran for all his efforts at Franklin's Gardens over the last three years and we wish him well."

Confirmation of Brookes' departure comes just a day after the club announced the signing of Wallabies winger Taqele Naiyaravoro from Waratahs for next season.
