Codie Taylor replaces injured Dane Coles for All Blacks vs. Scotland

Rugby

Hooker Codie Taylor returns to the All Blacks starting XV in place of the injured Dane Coles as New Zealand travel to Scotland Saturday.

Coach Steve Hansen has made two changes to the 23-man squad that beat France last weekend, as Nathan Harris and Liam Squire -- who featured in Tuesday's clash with a France XV -- are picked among the replacements.

Kieran Read captains the side once again as the All Blacks attempt to secure a 10th successive win over Scotland at Murrayfield.

Hansen said: "This Test against Scotland will be an opportunity for this group of players to take on the challenge of raising the bar on performance which was set down by their teammates on Tuesday.

"Scotland will be a formidable opponent who, from all indications, will be looking to play skilful rugby and an up-tempo game. Therefore, we will need to meet this challenge head on and be prepared to empty the tank and exert our own pressure upon them through both our physicality, our own tempo in the game and executing our skills at the highest level."

New Zealand team to face Scotland:

McKenzie, Naholo, Crotty, Williams, Ioane, B. Barrett, Smith; Hames, Taylor, Lualala, Romano, S. Whitelock, Fifita, Cane, Read (captain).

Replacements: Harris, Crockett, Tu'ungafasi, Squire, Todd, Perenara, Sopoaga, Lienert-Brown.
