Starters

Tendai Mtawarira 7/10: 'The Beast' had another decent Test, with his experience coming to the fore in guiding a relatively young front row. He remains a valuable member of this Bok team, but he needs to lift his work around the park.

Malcolm Marx 6: Struggled with his lineout throwing in the first half, which was partly due to Warren Whiteley's absence at the back of the Bok lineout. Scored a try in the second half to gain an extra point.

Ruan Dreyer 6: The Lions tighthead roared in his first scrum on debut, winning a penalty. However, he was also penalised a few times on the night. Set up Jesse Kriel's try with a lovely pass.

Eben Etzebeth 8: Captained the team well in the absence of Warren Whiteley. Made a great call early in the second half to kick a penalty into touch, which resulted in his try which came from a training ground move.

Franco Mostert 6: Not his greatest Test, and probably his worst performance of this series. Missed a few tackles and also conceded a few stupid penalties on the night. Did well in the build-up to Kriel's try.

Siya Kolisi 6: The Stormers man had a rather quiet Test by his standards in this series. Didn't get a lot of chance to carry, but was solid in defence. Wasn't quite as effective at the breakdown as he was in the two previous Tests.

Jaco Kriel 8: Kriel put in a lively display on his home ground. After missing out in the first two Test matches, he was energetic broke a lot of tackles with ball in hand. He played with a lot of spirit and took his chance.

Jean-Luc du Plessis 6: Before Du Preez becomes "one of the best in the world", he needs to work on his lineout jumping. He was solid in the other areas of loose-forward play, but didn't have the greatest day out in the lineout time.

Francois Hougaard 6: The Bok scrumhalf was a bit off key today. It almost looked like he was too eager and trying too hard to make an impression in his first start in this series.

Elton Jantjies 6: Jantjies had a wonderful series and the Boks were looking at him to finishing off strongly on his home ground. However, he wasn't quite as his thrilling best. But he can still take a lot of heart from this series.

Courtnall Skosan 7: The speedster didn't have a lot of opportunity with ball in hand throughout this series, but he hasn't put a foot wrong. The Boks need to get him more involved, as they need his finishing ability.

Jan Serfontein 8: These last few weeks have brought out the best of Serfontein after a rather low key Super Rugby campaign with the Bulls. He broke the line nicely against the French and his defending was top class.

Jesse Kriel 7: The outside centre scored the first try with a wonderful finish. He didn't have a lot of opportunities after that, but he too will be very happy with his contribution over the last few weeks.

Raymond Rhule 5: The Ghana-born player looked threatening with ball in hand, but it's his defence that is the biggest worry. Rhule missed quite a lot of tackles at Ellis Park and throughout the series.

Andries Coetzee 7: The fullback has shown a lot of maturity to go with his flair. He is always looking to counter attack from the back, while he was solid in defence and under the high ball.

Substitutes

Bongi Mbonambi 7: Didn't have a lot of minutes, but made the most of it with a top impact off the bench.,

Steven Kitshoff 8: This kid is going to be a superstar. His impact off the bench was just what the Boks needed after a patchy performance in the first half.

Coenie Oosthuizen 7: The Sharks man is getting the hang of the tighthead position. Growing stronger with each passing Test.

Pieter-Steph du Toit 7: Brought a lot of energy and aggression off the bench. Fighting hard to regain his starting spot at lock.

Lood de Jager 7: De Jager chased, tackled and carried with venom when he took the field. He has been missing the green and gold jersey.

Rudy Paige 8: Paige didn't get a lot of time on the park, but it was on long enough to score a try.

Francois Steyn: Not long enough on the field to be rated

Dillyn Leyds: Not long enough on the field to be rated.
