France coach Guy Noves has made three changes to his backline but kept his forward pack intact for the third and final Test against South Africa at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Noves has restored Jules Plisson at flyhalf after preferring Francois Trinh-Duc in the 37-15 second Test defeat in Durban this past weekend.

Plisson was for many a surprise starter in the opening 37-14 loss in Pretoria, but will be given another chance to show his qualities as France seek a consolation win at a ground where they have never lost to the Springboks in four previous Tests.

Other changes see Brice Dulin come in for South African-born Scott Spedding at fullback and Nans Ducuing get a first Test start ahead of Yoann Huget, who received a cut in his mouth last weekend.

Noves has decided to keep the forward pack as is for the final game of the tour, with hooker Guilhem Guirado captaining the team from the front row.

That said, the 63-year-old coach has wrung the changes on the bench, with six changes from last week. Prop Xavier Chiocci comes in for Eddy Ben Arous, lock Paul Jedrasiak is preferred to Julien le Devedec, flank Loann Goujon is in for Bernard le Roux, scrumhalf Maxime Machenaud takes over from Antoine Dupont, Trinh-Duc features instead of Jean-Marc Doussain and Vincent Rattez takes the place of Ducuing.

France: 15-Brice Dulin, 14-Nans Ducuing, 13-Damian Penaud, 12-Gael Fickou, 11-Virimi Vakatawa, 10-Jules Plisson, 9-Baptiste Serin, 8-Louis Picamoles, 7-Kevin Gourdon, 6-Yacouba Camara, 5- Romain Taofifenua, 4-Yoann Maestri, 3-Rabah Slimani, 2-Guilhem Guirado (captain), 1-Jefferson Poirot.
