There's been a lot of noise about this game, and whether it should be played, but the fixture features two proud rugby nations with plenty of players having something to prove and to play for.

Springboks lock Pieter-Steph du Toit will captain a young South Africa side featuring seven uncapped players in the starting line-up, leading the team for the first time.



Wales winger George North, meanwhile, will feature at centre and Ellis Jenkins will captain the side for the first time. This game will mark 73 times-capped North's fourth Test start in midfield, where he is partnered by Ospreys' Owen Watkin.

John Goliath of KweséESPN in South Africa has named five Springboks players with much to prove and play for in Washington D.C., suggesting that Elton Jantjies and Jesse Kriel, in particular, can shape coach Rassie Erasmus' thinking with strong performances ahead of the England Tests back in South Africa.
