Flames center Sean Monahan has been shut down for the remainder of the season, the Calgary Sun reported Friday.
Monahan had been playing through two "significant" undisclosed injures, and with the Flames all but eliminated from the playoff race, they decided to end his season.
Monahan, 23, scored 31 goals with 33 assists for a career-best 64 points in 74 games this season.
