Following Super Bowl LI, Marshawn Lynch has different take on SB XLIX

Two years ago, when the Seattle Seahawks had the ball on the New England Patriots' 1-yard line with a chance to win Super Bowl XLIX, Marshawn Lynch expected his number to be called.

When he didn't get the ball, and Russell Wilson threw the game-losing interception to Malcolm Butler, Lynch had little to say. Six months later, though, he had moved on enough to joke about it in a cameo on the FX show "The League."

Now, following the Patriots' stunning 25-point comeback in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons, Lynch has another perspective on the ending of the big game two years ago:

It seems Lynch believes divine intervention is on the Patriots' side, evidenced by two miraculous Super Bowl victories in a three-year span.

This is the second consecutive year that Lynch has made headlines during the Super Bowl without playing in it, after he cryptically declared his retirement in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 50 last year.
