Jaguars center Brandon Linder out for season with knee injury

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars center Brandon Linder will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a right knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Coach Doug Marrone would not disclose details of the injury but did say Linder will need surgery.

Linder is the second starter on the offensive line out for the season because of a knee injury. Left tackle Cam Robinson suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in Week 2.

Linder has yet to play a full season will have missed 26 games by the end of the season because of injuries in his five-year career. He signed a five-year contract extension in July 2017 that made him the NFL's highest-paid center.
