Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict leaves game after injuring hip

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict left Sunday's 45-10 loss to the Chiefs with a hip injury in the third quarter and was quickly declared out.

It was a rough night for Burfict and the Bengals' defense. Burfict had only two total tackles prior to leaving the game and missed several tackles throughout the night as the defense struggled to contain the Chiefs' speedy offense.

Burfict was informed Friday that he had been fined $112,000 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness against the Steelers the week before.

The Bengals also lost tight end Mason Schreck in the fourth quarter. He was carted off with a left knee injury. John Ross was declared out of the game in the second half after appearing to aggravate a groin injury that caused him to miss two games.
