Van Gundy feeling 'lost' about coaching future

Stan Van Gundy says he is still hoping to coach again but that no opportunities are presenting themselves, leaving the former Pistons coach feeling "really lost."

Detroit cap update after Eric Moreland was waived and replaced with Zaza Pachulia. The Pistons right at $1.3M under the luxury tax with 14 players under contract, including the $2.5M non-guaranteed salary of Reggie Bullock which has a July 15 cut date. The Pistons can still sign second round pick Khyri Thomas and stay under the tax.

Sources: Calderon is headed back to Detroit

Jose Calderon is returning to the Pistons on a one-year, $2.4 million deal, where he will reunite with his former coach Dwane Casey, league sources tell ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Even with the Jose Calderon $1.5M cap hit, Detroit can still stay under the tax and sign second round picks, Bruce Brown and Khyri Thomas. Removing the $1.6M non-guaranteed of Dwight Buycks would have the Pistons under by $1.8M. The first year salary for both would be $838K.

Robinson III agrees to join Pistons, source says

Glenn Robinson III has committed to leaving the Pacers and joining the Pistons on a two-year contract that includes a team option on the second year, a source told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.

Detroit is right at $121.9M, $1.7M below the tax after the Glenn Robinson III signing. The roster takes into account $5.9M in non-guaranteed money of Reggie Bullock, Eric Moreland and Dwight Buycks. The Pistons should be able to remain the below the tax even if they sign their two-second picks, Bruce Brown Jr. and Khyri Thomas.

The Pistons agree to terms on a two-year, $8 million with free agent swingman Glenn Robinson with a team option on the second year, a source told ESPN's The Undefeated.

The Pistons have James Ennis' early bird rights and have made re-signing him a priority. Several other teams, including the Sixers, Rockets and Nets, have expressed interest in signing the 28-year-old wing, league sources say.

On James Ennis, Detroit's Ed Stefanski told reporters today that the FA wing is ‘in play' for the Pistons. A team source added that DET has 'significant interest' in re-signing Ennis. Among a thin group of 2nd-tier wings in this FA class, Ennis will draw outside interest. DET has his Early Bird Rights.

Pistons take Miami's Brown in second round

The Pistons selected Bruce Brown of Miami in the second round of the NBA draft. The Pistons were without a first-round pick after sending theirs to the Clippers in a trade for Blake Griffin this past season.
