Larry Nance Jr., Cavaliers agree on 4-year, $44.8M extension, sources say

NBA, Cleveland Cavaliers

Center-forward Larry Nance Jr. has signed a multiyear extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team announced.

The Cavs did not disclose terms of the deal, but sources told ESPN that Nance's deal is for four years and worth $44.8 million.

Nance's extension gives Cleveland some flexibility in later years, descending annually from $12.7 million to $11.7 million to $10.6 million to $9.6 million in 2022-23, sources say, in a deal structured similarly to Kevin Love's contract.

The Cavaliers could have significant space when the cap rises to $116 million in 2020.

Nance, 25, is in his fourth NBA season and second with the Cavaliers after coming from the Los Angeles Lakers in a trade last season.

He has averaged 7.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game in his career.
