Sources: Doug McDermott, Pacers agree to 3-year, $22M deal

NBA, Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have agreed to a three-year, $22 million deal with free-agent forward Doug McDermott, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

McDermott, 26, split last season between the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks and averaged 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.

A career 40.3 percent 3-point shooter, McDermott will add floor spacing ability to the Pacers, who lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a seven-game, first-round playoff series.

The Mavs rescinded their qualifying offer to McDermott on Wednesday for financial reasons, which allowed McDermott to become an unrestricted free agent.
