Suns' Devin Booker to miss 2-3 weeks with left adductor strain

NBA, Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns say star guard Devin Booker will miss two to three weeks with a left adductor strain suffered during Tuesday night's defeat at Toronto.

Booker had an MRI on the injury Wednesday.

Booker was injured while playing defense with 2:40 left in the fourth quarter. He froze in place near midcourt, and trainers came out to examine him before two teammates carried him off the floor and into the locker room.

Booker had 19 points and eight assists in 39 minutes. He scored 46 points to lift the Suns past Philadelphia on Monday night.

Now in his third season, he is averaging a team-high 24.5 points per game.
