Sergio Pettis-Brandon Moreno tops card at UFC Fight Night in August

A flyweight showdown between Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno will headline UFC Fight Night on Aug. 5 in Mexico City.

UFC officials announced the 125-pound bout on Sunday. The five-round, 125-pound contest will take place at Mexico City Arena.

Pettis (15-2) was supposed to face former title challenger Henry Cejudo at UFC 211 earlier this month, but the bout was canceled at the last minute because of a Cejudo wrist injury.

The 23-year-old Pettis has won five of his last six bouts. He trains out of Roufusport MMA in Milwaukee.

Moreno (14-3) is on an 11-fight win streak, which includes three victories in the UFC. Also 23, Moreno has defeated Louis Smolka, Ryan Benoit and Dustin Ortiz in the Octagon.

The winner could potentially move on to a title shot late this year. Defending champion Demetrious Johnson does not currently have a title defense booked, but is expected to fight this summer.
