Jerry Crasnick's trade buzz

This is unconfirmed, but I've heard Luis Ortiz, Jean Carmona and Jonathan Villar are players going from Brewers to Orioles for Jonathan Schoop. You have to think Dan Duquette has strengthened his chances of staying with the Orioles. What team entrusts its GM with trading Manny Machado, Zach Britton, Jonathan Schoop, Kevin Gausman, Brad Brach and Darren O'Day for prospects in a rebuild, then goes out and hires a new GM?

Matt Harvey will be staying with the Reds, a source said, despite a flurry of trade discussions.

The Diamondbacks have acquired Jake Diekman from the Rangers, a source said. This is the D-backs' second bullpen addition of the day after they landed reliever Brad Ziegler in a deal with the Marlins.

Third-base prospect Ke'Bryan Hayes has been told he is not involved in the deadline deal for Chris Archer. He is staying with the Pirates, according to a source.

Brian Dozier has been traded to the Dodgers. Deal is finished. From ESPN Stats & Info: Dozier and Manny Machado have each hit 143 HRs since the start of 2014, tied for fourth-most among infielders in that span.

There's going to be a lot of Bryce Harper hysteria out there today, but the chances of him being moved by 4 p.m. are extremely remote, sources said. Update: Nationals GM Mike Rizzo said the team won't trade Harper before Tuesday's deadline.

The player to be named later in the Pirates-Rangers Keone Kela deal is a lower-tier prospect, sources said, not of the same level as Taylor Hearn.
