The Washington Nationals placed infielder Anthony Rendon on the 10-day disabled list on Sunday with a toe contusion.
Rendon, 27, has hit .286 with one homer, four RBIs, six walks and five runs scored in 14 games.
The Nationals recalled right-hander Austin L. Adams from Triple-A Syracuse. Adams, 26, got the call for his first major league assignment of the season.
